Sodium Meta Per Iodate chemical offeredprovides working as gentle oxidizing agent which cleaves cisdiols in carbohydrate sugar for creating amine-reactive aldehydes. It finds use in , providing many uses in study and detection of glycoproteins as well as for converting cis-glycol groups in carbohydrates to amine-reactive aldehyde groups that makes them suitable for modification/cross linking reactions. As an inorganic salt, it is composed of sodium cation and periodate anion and provide usefulness as oxidizing agents.
